This vacation home, nestled at the top of a mountain overlooking Healdsburg and the valleys, was outdated and lacking functionality before a full renovation. Designing both the remodel and soft furnishings, we wanted to create a home that felt timeless, warm, relaxing and a mix of vintage & new. From gorgeous natural stone counters, to plaster walls, this home exudes warmth and visual interest.
Design Vision | Relaxing, warm, layered
This historical home nestled in the heart of the Inner Sunset belongs to a family who both love color, and wanted to honor the historical charm of their forever home. We remodeled both the kitchen and three bathrooms, using unique tile lay patterns of marble, wallpaper and color. The design matra was to infuse color or pattern in each space, while giving a nod to the traditional past of the home. The result was transformative!
Design Vision: Colorful, traditional, dynamic
A lively family nestled in the heart of Mill Valley came to us with a memorable line "We are fun, we love the color blue and we want to reflect that in our new kitchen and guest bath!" The first design selection was the kitchen backsplash tile, and the pairing with a rich walnut island was a recipe for success. The bold abstract wallpaper in the main floor guest bath is a memorable moment, reflecting the playful spirit of this young family.
Design Vision: Playful, bold, unique
Undergoing a large- scale excavation, this Tiburon family home gained a full lower level and remodeled the original main floor kitchen, plus three bathrooms at the same time. The clients are global travelers and citizens, and incorporating pattern, color and unique materials was a key part of the design brief. The result was a dynamic and unique home, with each space holding its own.
Design Vision: Global, artisan, inviting
This 1912 San Francisco home was lovingly restored, and we were guided by traditional materials and the homeowner's family heirloom furniture. We renovated the kitchen, two bathrooms and designed both the living room and dining room with new and vintage family pieces. This project was a heartwarming one, giving this young family a beautiful restored home!
Design Vision: Traditional, vintage, unique
This home was renovated down to the studs due to deferred maintenance, for a young family moving to Sonoma from San Francisco. With a nod to the surrounding historic neighborhood, a new 'modern traditional' home was lovingly rebuilt from the subfloor up! The homeowners wanted to keep the renovation materials monochromatic yet visually interesting, but dial up the playful energy with their quirky art and storytelling artifacts! The favorite design features are the soapstone island with seating on two sides, and the wallpaper selection as the whole family got in on the vote! Design Vision | modern-traditional, relaxed, quirky
This vacation home, only one block off Sonoma's downtown square, was destined to be a welcoming retreat but needed a full renovation and furnishings to get there! With the homeowners based in Florida, the design pillar was to create a home inspired by the colors of Wine Country right outside the windows, while still maintaining a welcoming and relaxed feel. Our favorite design feature? Converting the third entryway closet into a gorgeous statement wine bar!
Design Vision | tranquil, subtle sophistication, engaging
This classic guest cottage sits within rose bushes, set back behind a main home on a quiet street in downtown Sonoma. The homeowners wanted a restful retreat for both a 'her' home office and for occasional guests visiting Wine Country. Leading the design on both the full renovation and furnishings, the Jasmine Cottage was guided with a 'feminine touch' as the first two design picks were the soft floral wallpaper and Taj Mahal quartzite counters!
Design Vision | feminine, refined, welcoming
A family purchased an 1890's Ernest Coxhead San Francisco home with deep appreciation for the stunning wood detailing and well preserved period details. The home had undergone several renovations over the years, but three bathrooms were in need of complete renovation. Wallpaper, patterned tile, natural materials and luxe finishes created magic! Additional design collaborations included creating a nursery out of an outdated/unused top floor kitchenette, wallpapering and styling a home office, a guest bedroom overhaul and styling the large parlor, full of fabulous built-ins. This project was the perfect blend of a couple wanting to have fun with their San Francisco home, but also wanting to honor the richness of its history! Design Vision: historic, unapologetically bold, amd unforgettable
A fun mid-century modern home with floor-to-ceiling glass walls came to us as a blank slate, purchased as a second home for an SF resident. The goal was to embrace the mid-century bones of the home, while also adding in layers of warmth, all under the client's mantra of "relaxed vacation vibes". The views of vineyards and rolling farmland provided inspiration to add subtle touches of green within the home, while the pool inspired us to add different zones of outdoor hardscape + furniture to truly embrace 'indoor-outdoor living'. The only unexpected thing we kept with the home? The playful pink accent wall in the guest room! Design Vision | Mid-century modern, playful and artistic
A family of four with a love for color and pattern moved into an all-white house, which we quickly realized did not feel like them. The views of the coast from multiple windows in their home inspired a blue-green theme for the dining room + living room that overlook the water. We added pops of color doing a funky gallery wall with their existing art surrounding the media console, and a touch of fun with a new entryway wallpaper! Finding places to showcase and style their family photos and sentimental accessories was a focal point of the design process! Design Vision | fun, eclectic and family-focused
This 3-level home was a ground-up new build, located in the heart of the family's favorite Portland neighborhood. Designing this project from afar, starting from the exterior siding/color + windows + trim + doors, down to the soft furnishings + styling indoors and out, was a dream come true with this beautiful family! The clients love color and have ties to the Southwest, which became the heartbeat of the design process. Design Vision | earthy, eclectic and happy
A family moved into their forever home within San Francisco's Inner Sunset district, with the intention to preserve (and enhance!) the history behind the 100+ year old home. The couple wanted a traditional living room, grounded in comfort while entertaining, with a statement dining room. We utilized the family's existing collection of heirloom artifacts from India within the living room, while embracing color with a historic wallpaper motif in the dining room. Dark woods, luxe fabric choices and new brass lighting throughout brought this home to life! Design Vision | traditional, unique and layered
This home was a full gut-remodel, with the design inspiration being warm, modern, with a touch of funk. Designed for a family moving from SF to Napa full time, the project started with the heartbeat of the home - the kitchen! We designed a marble x brass x natural wood x rich green cabinetry stunner! Included in this project scope, we designed a complimentary living space and entryway, designed for both beauty and comfort. To round out the remodel, we renovated three other bathrooms in the home from ground up, adding art, rugs and tabletop accessories for styling. Welcome to wine country living! Design Vision | fun, modern and unique
This client project was a full interior remodel & all new interior furnishings. Designed as a second home for entertaining family & friends, but also as a rejuvenating weekend retreat from the busy city life. The client wanted a warm, minimal and serene place to come to, yet full of beautiful functional styling accessories such as a hefty round-up of board games for a Saturday night in! We focused on tonal hues, eclectic art and layering. Design Vision | zen, liveable luxe and inviting
A family of three (now four!) moved into a 1920's charming Piedmont home and needed assistance pulling together their two main living spaces. The first room upon entering the home needed to serve as a fun entertaining space but also a playroom, so we brought in the fun styling vibes mixed with high-function storage. The living room off the kitchen was a direct path to the lovely backyard patio, while also serving as the TV lounge. We brought comfort and durability to this space, without sacrificing the handsome vibes across fabric selection to decor. Design Vision | inviting, visually engaging and functional
Transitioning from a shared toddler room to a 'big kiddo' shared room was the design need. The design intent was to maximize the room's square footage and provide an area for each sister to store clothes and display their sentimental items. Bunk beds (a space-saving move!) made room for a cozy reading nook! Design vision | playful, functional and cheery
A ranch-style home with great indoor-outdoor flow, had a living room and dining room as the heartbeat of the home that needed to reflect a young, active family with a love for the coastal waters. With an active surfer in the family, we let sand & surf be our north star with color palette and material selection. Working with a long living room, we even had room to carve out a fun kid nook for their two little kiddos! Design vision | water-inspired, relaxed and fun
A 3900+ sq foot home nestled in the middle of the Redwoods designed around an active family of four. Coming from the city, the family decided to forgo their existing furniture and start with a clean slate, which means we got to design the dining room, living room, lower level family room x playroom x wet bar and the primary bedroom. We focused on an earthy palette for the upstairs living spaces, to give a nod to the stunning private 5+ acre forest that sits right outside the property. Durable fabrics and materials were chosen for young children, and a fun mix of color and patterns were the inspiration behind the lower family room x playroom. Design vision | nature-inspired, comfortable and restorative
This almost 100 year old flat was purchased with good bones, but badly needed restoration. Post a kitchen and bathroom renovation, the home needed to be fully furnished and styled for a family of four. Bringing in warmth with different wood tones, paint and rugs, this home was also given notable personality with curated art collected over time that told the homeowners own story. Design vision | eclectic, happy and authentic
A couple was designing their dream home from ground up, and needed to ensure the main living spaces were being designed for both function and form. We furnished the living space by maximizing seating around the fireplace/TV, while also ensuring the view to the lake directly outside the windows was given priority seating (hence two rows of swivel chairs!). The kitchen was designed for optimal flow and ease of family gatherings around the 5x9ft island. Keeping the view to the lake unobstructed, we opted for a glass chandelier above the dining table and indestructible dining chairs for their young grandchildren! Design vision | classic, welcoming and practical
A young family moved back to San Francisco from LA, and wanted to embrace the beautiful Edwarian charm of their new home. Honoring the historic bones of the home, and adding in a moody and eclectic vibe, we designed a custom built-in around the fireplace and painted the entire room a rich deep charcoal. Keeping the original millwork in both the living room and powder bath, we embraced the original lines with wallpaper and paint! Living room was designed around the only original pieces, the beautiful blue upholstered chairs from HD Buttercup. Design vision | cozy, dynamic and historic
The new owners purchased this ranch style home from the original owners, and this 3 bed/3 bath home underwent a full interior renovation. From a past life of wood paneling and a river stone wall kitchen, this home was beautifully renovated and furnished for their extended family to enjoy for family weekend visits! Design vision | casual, warm and inviting
