Kara Haren
Principal Designer

Kara has spent her career telling stories- first through fashion assortments and styling flagship stores, then through home decor photoshoots and product design, and now through the homes she designs. In New York, that meant picking out each season's clothing assortment from runway shows, cultivating it by color and print until a story emerged. Later in San Francisco, it meant bringing new product to life from sketches and vintage finds, sourcing pieces for one of the country's most recognizable home brands. Over a decade spent focusing on what people want to wear, how they want to style their space, and ultimately how both make them feel- had her realize she wanted to do the same storytelling, on a more intimate level with one client at a time.

Along Came Lennox, named after the birth of her oldest daughter who inspired the leap of faith to leave corporate, starts with the people who'll actually live there: how they move through a morning, what they want to come home to. The homes that follow are layered, a little unexpected, and never precious- spaces built for real life, designed to help you live the life you've imagined.

Kara lives and works in the heart of Wine Country, with a studio space right off the downtown Sonoma square. With her husband and three daughters, weekends are typically spent vintage hunting, dreaming up the next theme party, cheering on kid sports games and making the most of Wine Country Living.

Rooted in Story

Designing a space begins with the people who'll call it home.

Layered with Intention

Every texture, object and finish is chosen with purpose, piecing together a story that feels like you.

Elevated, Livable

Interiors made to be fully lived in, never precious, always considered.

Character over Conformity

A personal palette as the foundation, layered with unexpected pops.

ETHOS

Good design lives at the intersection of the everyday and the extraordinary, grounded in the architecture of everyday life, made for the beauty of a life that is still unfolding.
